As they say....It takes a village. Together we can start to make the change, inform, educate and support women in their decisions to birth how, when and where they want to.

We provide expert care and support during pregnancy, labor and delivery.

Pure Births is a holistic midwifery practice based in Santa Clarita, CA. We serve families in Valencia, Santa Clarita, Antelope Valley, San Fernando Valley, Simi Valley and all surrounding Los Angeles cities.

A midwife is a trained professional with special expertise in supporting women to maintain a healthy pregnancy birth, offering expert individualized care, education, counseling and support to a woman and her newborn throughout the childbearing cycle.

A midwife works with each woman and her family to identify their unique physical, social and emotional needs. When the care required is outside the midwife's scope of practice or expertise, the woman is referred to other health care providers for additional consultation or care.

The Midwives Model of Care is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes.
The Midwives Model of Care includes:

Monitoring the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle
Providing the mother with individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support
Minimizing technological interventions
Identifying and referring women who require obstetrical attention

The application of this woman-centered model of care has been proven to reduce the incidence of birth injury, trauma, and cesarean section.

What is the difference between Midwives and Doulas?

Midwives are trained health care professionals who provide prenatal,maternity, and gynecological(well women) care. We are licensed by the California Medical Board, and Certified Professional Midwives. As your Midwife my priority is the well being and safety for you and your baby. Trust and safety make for a healthy outcome for mother and baby.

Birth doulas offer emotional support, physical support, encouragement, and evidence based advocacy throughout pregnancy, labor and birth. Our Doulas are certified birth attendants, supporting you and your partner and offering an abundance of knowledge and experience.

I had my first baby November 4th and it was a beautiful empowering experience!
Tiffany was AMAZING!!!! I labored in different positions to ease the contractions and used a birthing ball in the shower (this really works!), she massaged me and used aromatherapy for relaxation. My birth team was like a super woman birthing team. I only pushed for about 30 mins max and (no vaginal tears!).
My birthing experience was magical and I thank Tiffany for this wonderful experience and memory.
